Who We Are

At the age of 18, I came to know the revolutionary Messiah named Jesus Christ. I had always heard about Him, but I had never known Him, let alone, believed that He desired to be in a deep intimate relationship with me. The idea of a perfect holy God desiring me and dying for me - an imperfect, sinful guy- seemed crazy beyond measure. But through God’s amazing grace, mercy, and persistent radical, selfless love He chose to pursue me. If I’m to testify about what Jesus has done in my life, I want to most definitely attest, not to who I was in the past for we are a “new creation in Him, the old is gone, the new has come”, but I want to proclaim the amazing things He has done since He called me out of selfish, dead, empty life. Never in a million years, would I have imagined myself being called into a position to serve a holy purpose or serve other people at that. But somehow, in God’s weird design He prepared 4 passionate new believers to launch an after school, once a week “bible study.” This was the beginning of something so transformational and life changing that continues to change and refine me till today. Starting our “bible studies” in a garage turned bedroom, to another bigger garage, to living rooms, to an official classroom; God has led us further and further and shown us what a church can look like. From learning, to teaching, to praying, to listening, to loving and seeing how God can changes lives in young and old - all this and more, there’s nothing more beautiful and worth living for. And the fact that I get to be a part of this, shows me God’s love. So here I am, 22 years in the making, unfit and unqualified to lead young people but justified by the scandalous love of Christ. And only because of His love and the power of His Spirit am I the man I am today.
